2019 Family Strengthening Award Honoree April Garcia

April has overcome many obstacles including a learning disability, severe anxiety and the struggles of becoming a mother at a young age. Before she was connected to Goodwill, April had a difficult time finding valuable employment that would set a good example for her son. With a little encouragement and support from her Goodwill Job Coach, April was hired at Mile High Ace Hardware and has been knocking down barriers ever since.
