HIDDEN TREASURES. CHANGED LIVES.
GOODWILL: A LEADER IN THE GREEN ECONOMY

Go green with Goodwill

Goodwill is one of the oldest and largest networks working to keep items in the circular economy. We are committed to the sustainability, safety, and beauty of our environment.

When you donate your gently used items to Goodwill of Colorado, you’re keeping them from ending up in the landfill, while providing our shoppers with fabulous finds at affordable prices. But the story doesn’t end there. Through Goodwill’s stewardship, your donations are also repurposed into life-changing programs for Coloradans in need. Goodwill has been reducing environmental waste and diverting items from our landfills in Colorado for more than a century. We continue to develop innovative and eco-friendly systems and collaborative partnerships to work towards zero waste, all while practicing our bottom line: People, Community and Planet.

Program Highlights

  • Through our retail stores, Outlet locations, and recycling partners, we diverted 208M pounds of donated items from Colorado landfills last year
  • 75 tons of plastic recycled year to date in 2024 with our partner Direct Polymers, projected to double in volume next year
  • In 2023, Goodwill recycled 370 tons of environmentally hazardous computers/components through our Dell Reconnect program.
  • Goodwill of Colorado collected 80 tons of glass in 2023 at our donation drop-offs and recycled through local partnerships. Learn about our glass recycling partnership with O-I Glass here.
