Yes! Goodwill of Colorado is a registered nonprofit charity. When you make a charitable donation to Goodwill, you’re directly supporting job training, education, and community programs for people across the state. Your donated goods don’t just get a second life—they help change lives.
Because no goods or services were provided in exchange for your material goods, your donations may be tax-deductible. Federal law states that donated clothing and household goods must be in “good usable condition or better” in order to qualify for a tax deduction. IRS regulations prohibit charitable organizations from establishing or affirming the value of contributions. Because Every tax situation is unique, please consult with your tax professional.
