What can, or should I do to get ready?

Pack an overnight bag. That’s all that is required. Since you will SPEND EVERY NIGHT IN YOUR OWN BED, we want to be sure that we DON’T pack your pajamas or your toothbrush.  Also, be ready to make clear decisions on the day we design your new floor-plan.

How long does it take to get moved?

Getting you moved quickly and efficiently is our goal. Typically, we can move our seniors into a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom in one day. This is the standard we have set for ourselves. We bring together the right mix of people and equipment so that we can pack you in only a few hours. We then move you and unpack you so by the end of the day, your new home is ready.

Do I have to be there?

We welcome you and your family’s help with all aspects of the moving process.  But watching someone pack is truly boring.  You may choose to do other things that day.  As one of our clients said, “We’ll just turn it over to you, and we’ll go to lunch.”

How much will it cost?

Our hourly rates are just a little less than what a full-service moving company charges. For budgeting purposes, I suggest planning for a total cost range of $800 to $2,500 for a move. Additional charges will apply when you choose to use other services, such as house clearing.

How much notice do you need?

From a planning standpoint, it’s always nice to have a week’s notice. But life rarely allows such a luxury. We work very hard to accommodate everyone’s schedule. As often as possible, we adjust to the needs of our client.
