MAKE AN IMPACT

Be a part of the impact.

With your donations and shopping at our 48 retail stores and outlets, we are changing the lives of your fellow Coloradans and being a sustainability leader in this great state of ours. Thank you for giving through Goodwill.

Dear Friends,

I am delighted to share our Impact Report with you, in which we share the stories of remarkable Coloradans whose lives were transformed for the better through Goodwill. We are also honored to detail the progress that we’ve made together around our sustainability and recycling efforts thanks to your generous donations. Our commitment to Colorado’s people and our environment is more than a strategy; it’s a promise to the communities we serve.

In the last year, we made significant strides toward our zero-waste goal:

  • Diverting an increasing volume of textiles and goods from Colorado landfills, giving them new life through our retail and recycling operations—last year we received, recycled or repurposed more than 235 million pounds of generously donated items
  • Investing in technologies to reduce our carbon footprint
  • Expanding our ability to find new uses for plastic, glass, and damaged furniture that cannot be sold in stores

Empowering individuals through meaningful employment is one of the reasons we exist. We work to enable people to achieve a job, a better job, a career. Goodwill of Colorado and our team of 3,200 employees are grateful for the privilege of creating jobs and providing training and education opportunities that build lives and invigorate Colorado’s economy, including these highlights:

  • Facilitating job training and placement programs that provided 26,775 individuals with essential skills and opportunities for a brighter future, infusing $13,051,800 into Colorado’s economy from the salaries earned by those individuals
  • Partnering with grassroots organizations to facilitate employment opportunities for underserved populations, particularly justice-involved individuals, immigrants and many others with barriers to employment
  • Serving more than 11,000 Coloradans with daily living support and community transportation
  • Expanding our IT training and career resources all along the Front Range

This Impact Report doesn’t just reflect achievements, it also illustrates our commitment to our mission, made possible by our passionate team members, the generous support of our communities and the courage and resilience of the individuals we serve.

As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of sustainability for individuals, families and our environment.

We thank you for making this journey of empowerment and transformation possible for the 127,287 people Goodwill of Colorado served with your support last year.
