Pinnacol Grant Helps Job Seekers Scale New Career Heights

Pinnacol Assurance has worked with Goodwill of Colorado for years, primarily as our workers’ compensation insurance provider. However, Pinnacol recently provided financial support to two of Goodwill’s mission programs as well! Pinnacol’s generous $26,000 grant to Goodwill will help more Coloradans achieve greater independence by expanding access to our LIFT IT Training and BankWork$ programs.

Not only do both programs provide job seekers with marketable skills highly relevant to getting hired, they build a foundation to help individuals level up in their current careers.

LIFT prepares participants for key IT certification exams including A+, Security+ and Network+. These certifications are important to launch or advance a career in IT network support, cybersecurity and help desk administration, and scholarships are available to qualified applicants. Justin, one of our recent graduates, said, “LIFT has been pivotal in providing meaningful, life-changing opportunities for me. My present and my future are full of possibilities that would have been unlikely without the skills that I’ve gained as a direct result of my access to education provided through LIFT.”

BankWork$ is an eight-week, free career-readiness intensive that prepares individuals for a fulfilling career in the financial services industry. Participants prepare for success in job roles such as bank teller, customer service representatives and personal bankers. At the conclusion of the training, Goodwill hosts a job fair where graduates can interview for their new career right away.

Thanks to Pinnacol, more Coloradans are achieving independence by starting or advancing their careers.
