Goodwill of Colorado Expands IT Training Program to Denver: Free and Flexible Courses Help Job Seekers “Wire-In” to Rewarding Careers
Denver, CO., July 20, 2022 – Goodwill of Colorado is excited to introduce its LIFT (Learn, Improve, Focus and Thrive) IT career training and placement program to the Denver-Metro region after four years successfully instructing and advancing the careers of hundreds of program participants in the Colorado Springs/Pikes Peak region. The nonprofit is one of only10 nationwide Goodwill organizations recognized as a leader in digital skills expansion and training.
Goodwill’s comprehensive LIFT IT program offers participants A+, Network+ and Security+ training and certifications focused on the fundamentals of security, networking, operating systems, troubleshooting and technical support—combining online and in-person coursework. Customized training also is available for employers enrolling multiple employees—including flexible study hours during the daytime, evenings and weekends.

Goodwill initially is awarding 25 scholarships to Denver-Metro program participants but that number could grow to 75 participants in the future based on interest. “There is a huge need in our community for IT professionals and these acquired skills,” said Joe Mullally, Goodwill’s IT Instructional Services Manager. “This program primarily is aimed at re-establishing job seekers with IT backgrounds who currently are unemployed, along with providing advancement opportunities for current IT professionals; however, individuals exploring opportunities in the IT field are also welcome to apply.”
