FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Falcon, Colo., November 19, 2025 — Goodwill of Colorado is honored to announce the grand opening of its newest retail location at 7520 Falcon Market Place on Saturday, November 29. A ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 8:45 a.m. will kick off the day’s festivities. Shoppers are invited to join the celebration, enjoy free refreshments, prize giveaways and entertainment throughout the day until 9:00 p.m.
The new Goodwill Falcon store and donation center will create 50 new jobs in the local community. Goodwill of Colorado emphasizes fair-chance hiring, providing employment opportunities for individuals who might be coming out of incarceration, re-entering civilian life after military service or require upskilling. Sixty-five percent of Goodwill of Colorado’s retail team members report having similar barriers to employment upon being hired, including Goodwill Falcon store manager Glenna Stanley who was hired after being released from incarceration and has built a 20-year career with Goodwill.
Goodwill of Colorado President and CEO Karla Grazier, said, “We’re honored to serve the Falcon and Peyton communities with this new Goodwill store and donation center. Our retail locations are a critical part of our mission in local communities. Proceeds from this store will support free, local job training and education programs like our LIFT IT Training, BankWork$ and Digital Skills programs.”
In the spirit of community, Goodwill of Colorado is partnering with local nonprofit Fresh Start Center to host a food donation drive at the new Falcon store from November 29 to December 6. Fresh Start Center serves El Paso County residents experiencing food insecurity, providing food, clothing, and essential household resources to families in need.
How the Food Drive Works:
- Donation bins will be placed at the Goodwill Falcon store entrance from November 29 to December 6.
- Shoppers are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, guided by a priority needs list from Fresh Start Center.
- Fresh Start Center representatives will be present on grand opening day to engage with Goodwill shoppers and share information about their programs.
