Goodwill of Colorado to Celebrate Grand Opening of Brighton Store

Event will include ribbon-cutting ceremony, prize giveaways, and week-long food drive for Giggling Life Care Farm

Brighton, Colo., January 6, 2026— Goodwill of Colorado is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest retail location in Brighton, Colorado, located at 1034 South 8th Avenue. The community is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and day-long festivities on Saturday, January 10, starting at 8:45 a.m.

The celebration will include free Goodwill gift cards for the first 50 shoppers in line, prize drawings throughout the day including brand-new televisions, entertainment for the family and free refreshments.

The Goodwill Brighton store will create approximately 50 new jobs in the local community. Goodwill of Colorado emphasizes fair-chance hiring, providing employment opportunities for individuals who may be reentering the workforce and facing challenges which can include former incarceration, transitioning from military service or seeking to build new skills. Statewide, at least 65 percent of Goodwill of Colorado retail team members report facing significant barriers to employment when they were hired—making Goodwill stores powerful engines of opportunity and economic mobility.

Goodwill of Colorado President and CEO Karla Grazier said, “We are excited to expand our mission in Brighton and to welcome the community into this new Goodwill store and donation center. Our retail locations play a vital role in fueling our mission. Proceeds from this store will support free, local job training and education programs, including LIFT IT Training, BankWork$, and our new Clean Tech Accelerator trainingprograms that help Coloradans build confidence, skills and pathways to lasting employment.”

In the spirit of community, Goodwill of Colorado is partnering with Giggling Life Care Farm, a small, local organization that brings children from the Brighton community together to connect with animals, learn about agriculture and build critical life skills such as confidence, leadership and teamwork. From Sunday, January 11 through Sunday, January 18, the Goodwill Brighton store will collect food donations to feed the farm’s animals. Requested items include canned green beans, corn, carrots and peas.

Goodwill of Colorado invites Brighton residents to shop and donate, helping transform donated goods into life-changing opportunities for people in Brighton and in local communities throughout Colorado.
