Goodwill Introduces Local Career Training that Job Seekers Can “Bank On”

Colorado Springs, CO., June 29, 2022 – Beginning July 20, Goodwill of Colorado is excited to introduce its BankWork$ career training program to Colorado Springs/El Paso County job seekers after six years successfully training and preparing 388 program participants in the Denver/Metro region for employment with an 85% graduation and placement rate and one-year retention rate of 90%.

BankWork$ is a free, interactive, seven-week training program for young adults with barriers to employment offering participants a pathway to a career in the financial services industry as tellers, customer service representatives and personal bankers. The course curriculum and hands-on training includes job interview preparation, placement assistance at leading local banks and ongoing coaching and mentoring to help with career advancement. BankWork$ is the first and only program of its kind endorsed by the Colorado Bankers Association.

Participant/Eligibility Requirements* Include:

  • 18-Years and Older
  • Availability July 20– September 2; Alternating Online and In-Class Training on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 9 AM to 1:30 PM Note: In-Class training will be hosted at the New Altitude Coworking & Office Space; 6385 Corporate Dr., Suite 200, Colorado Springs, CO 80919
  • Computer and Internet Access for Alternating Online Classes
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six Months of Cash Handling and/or Customer Service/Sales Experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Background Check
