GOODWILL OF COLORADO CLOSES ON FALCON PARCEL FOR NEWEST RETAIL/DONATION CENTER

Colorado Springs, Colo., January 2, 2024 – Goodwill of Colorado has closed on a parcel of land for its newest location, slated to open in December 2024 at Meridian Road and East Woodmen Road in Falcon. The purchase was brokered by Jim Spittler and John Onstott of NAI Highland and closed on December 21, 2023.

Goodwill’s proposed 23,000 square-foot store and donation center will be positioned next to the King Soopers Marketplace at Falcon Marketplace and is projected to create approximately 50 new jobs in the community, often for individuals who might have barriers to employment. In addition, Goodwill will be building out an adjacent 15,000 square-foot facility that will be available for lease.

Karla Grazier, Goodwill of Colorado President and Chief Executive Officer, noted, “On behalf of the Coloradans we serve, we are thrilled to achieve this milestone. This project has been multiple years in the making and will allow us to serve northeast El Paso County with a brand-new location poised to keep pace with the incredible growth in the area.”

Across its statewide footprint last year, Goodwill of Colorado received, repurposed or recycled more than 235 million pounds of donated items contributing to a more sustainable environment in communities throughout the state. In addition to providing employment above minimum wage in its operations, Goodwill served over 127,000 people with free services in over 34 programs for those with barriers to employment, the economically challenged, people with disabilities, seniors and veterans.
