LIFT Scholarships Give Local Veterans New Career Path

Discover Goodwill’s LIFT Training provides an exciting pathway to great jobs in the IT field. Last year, Google awarded Discover Goodwill a grant to provide scholarships for individuals to attend Security+ training, which is a key credential for the IT professional who has networking and administrative skills to expand their skillset into other operating systems. One of the goals of the program is to support military veterans as they re-enter the civilian workforce—through LIFT scholarships.

We are thrilled to share that to date 34 military veterans in the Pikes Peak Region have attended LIFT to help advance their careers, free of charge!

LIFT provides students with the knowledge required to prep for and pass the CompTIA Security+ Certification. The program offers a blended learning approach with flexible study hours, hands-on learning, soft-skills training and a voucher for the certification exam fee.
