2019 Bright Future Award Honoree Alexandra Escobedo
At just 18 years old, Alexandra (Alé) struggled with homelessness and stopped attending high school. After making a connection with the Goodwill Facilitator at her school, Alé enrolled in Goodwil’s GED program and found her focus and determination to build a positive future. Goodwill connected Alé to an apprenticeship at Denver Health and she loved it so much, she continues to volunteer there in her free time long after the apprenticeship ended. As a student who nearly dropped out, Alé has turned her life around and is focused on her personal and professional development.
