ASSISTANCE FOR FARMERS & RANCHERS: AGRABILITY

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Colorado State University Extension Services, Goodwill’s AgrAbility program helps farmers and ranchers with health, developmental and aging challenges to continue working and contributing to our economy. This strategic collaboration with rural Coloradans promotes independence in agriculture trade and commerce by providing direct assistance, information and education to those dealing with physical limitations.

YOUTH EDUCATION/CAREER DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

Goodwill is addressing significant deficits in graduation rates by partnering with high-poverty-area schools to provide education, career development and mentoring opportunities to thousands of under-resourced students every year. Goodwill’s Youth Career Development program and youth specialists are licensed teachers who help young people focus on their future career aspirations to ensure success.

WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES (JANITORIAL)

Goodwill provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to work in groups of four to eight under the direct support and supervision of trained and attentive staff—providing light janitorial services at Goodwill’s retail stores while developing their work and social skills.

CHILD SUPPORT/IMPROVED PAYMENTS & CHILD SUCCESS: IMPACS

Goodwill’s IMPACS Program helps parents paying child support and their families overcome barriers to employment through supportive services and individualized case management. Approved applicants collaborate with Goodwill staff and community service providers (e.g., community colleges, workforce centers, etc.) and/or county human service departments to assist participants in securing gainful employment and maintaining their financial support obligations.

EDUCATIONAL & SOCIAL INTEGRATION FOR REFUGEE YOUTH: CLIMB

Goodwill’s CLIMB program is grant-funded by the Colorado Refugee Services Program (CRSP), which provides social and economic integration opportunities for refugee-eligible youth residing in Colorado. Goodwill provides direct services to support youth in educational and career goals through tutoring, mentoring, after-school programs and extracurricular activities.

WORK SKILLS & FAMILY STABILIZATION: COLORADO WORKS/TANF

Skills Development and Family Stabilization: In partnership with Human Service agencies, Goodwill’s Colorado Works/TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) program uses a comprehensive life and employment skills curriculum to help agency-referred individuals with barriers to employment learn soft and practical skills to help secure and sustain employment as part of their TANF benefit requirements.

Classes are available in morning and afternoon sessions with flexible schedules and include soft and practical skills training emphasizing self-esteem, self-motivation, personal responsibility and reliability, cultural diversity and acceptance.

GOODWILL EMPLOYMENT & RETENTION PROGRAM

In partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Goodwill administers a statewide emergency assistance program to low-income individuals 16 and with identified barriers to employment. This emergency support program is designed to assist participants in gaining or maintaining employment with local agencies.

IN-HOME SUPPORT SERVICES

Goodwill operates as a Colorado Health First-certified, In-Home Support Services agency, providing financial and other support to caregivers for loved ones with disabilities on Medicaid. Qualified caregivers can be paid up to 40 hours a week and receive free medical benefits!

COMMUNITY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE: GOODWHEELS

GoodWheels offers door-through-door service to help mobility-challenged individuals get to appointments, community engagements and even run errands. Our team of licensed and professional drivers carefully transport clients who use standard or bariatric wheelchairs, or individuals who are completely ambulatory. GoodWheels can take clients to dialysis, or to other medically necessary appointments within a 20-mile radius for those paying through Medicaid or insurance. We offer unlimited travel for private-pay clients. Our customer service is the best in the business–let us help you get where you need to be, with care and compassion.
