Discover Goodwill Enchants Community at the Garden of the Gods Collection

For the past 20 years, Discover Goodwill has held its signature “An Enchanted Evening” gala to support the organization’s job training and placement programs, which assist nearly 30,000 individuals with barriers to employment each year.

On August 18 and 19, Discover Goodwill and The Garden of the Gods Collection partnered to transform “An Enchanted Evening” into “An Enchanted Weekend,” highlighted by four mission-focused, community-infused, activity-packed events—presented by BBVA Compass Bank, GE Johnson Construction and the Jerry Grage Family.

The weekend’s activities teed off with the ultimate Golf Experience offering a surprise around every corner, followed by a Chic Boutique luncheon with mimosas, mingling and presentation by wellness expert Renee Moorefield. The evening culminated with a Napa-style tasting event “On the Mesa” overlooking spectacular Garden of the Gods.

Capping the weekend was the An Enchanted Evening Gala, with lively Raise the Paddle bidding and nearly 200 sought-after auction items and experiences—including a Caribbean cruise and bucket-list golf at Pebble Beach.

Not only was An Enchanted Weekend a financial success, it introduced a new generation to the Discover Goodwill mission. CEO Karla Grazier noted, “The success of An Enchanted Weekend was truly born from friendship, collaboration and a keen desire to share and embrace ‘Goodwill’ in our community.”
