Summer Skills Camp Helps Teens Learn Key Life Skills

From June 19 to July 12, Discover Goodwill will again offer its Summer Skills Camp to local teens and youth who face intellectual or developmental disabilities. Held at Discover Goodwill’s Garden of the Gods campus, the camp provides an enjoyable and productive summer slate of activities, such as helping participants learn computer skills, time management, goal-setting, entrepreneurial thinking, money management, and general hospitality skills like cooking and entertaining.

At the end of the camp, participants will have the chance to pitch a business idea in a Shark Tank-like setting to a panel of Discover Goodwill staff leadership and board members. For more information, contact Sarah Hancock at 719-505-5020.
